Four Sundays of Baseball

Over the course of August, I have been to 4 baseball games. The big part is that they were all on Sundays. Which is when I got my idea. This could go on my blog as a big thing. And so, I present to you, Four Sundays of Baseball.

SUNDAY 1: Chatham Anglers vs Harwich Mariners (Cape cod league)

The Cape Cod League is a good fan experience if you have nothing on the calendar down the Cape. Game 3 of the quarterfinal round between the Chatham Anglers and the Harwich Mariners. The winner would take on the YD Red Sox in the semis. The Anglers would pull away late with a 3-1 victory over the East Champs.  Chatham would go on to lose to the eventual champion Red Sox. It’s always a blast going to see the stars of tomorrow today.

SUNDAY 2: Arizona Diamondbacks vs Red Sox

My friend Evan and I went down to Fenway to watch Rick Porcello and the Sox battle Arizona. Boston came out swinging. Mookie Betts hit 3 homers and Porcello would pick up the victory to stay unbeaten at Fenway. The Sox defeated the DBacks 16-2 to sweep the series.

SUNDAY 3: Brooklyn Cyclones vs Lowell Spinners (NYPL)

I love to come down to Lowell for any sort of sport. Whether it’s the River Hawks for hockey or the Spinners for Baseball. It was the Spinners for this day. The Spinners continued their dominance of the Brooklyn Cyclones with a 9-6 win. Lowell has been very hot as of late as they have won their last 5 games. I think that my dad had a lot of fun just coming back to see the Spinners.

SUNDAY 4: Royals vs Red Sox

The Sunday night game was pretty intense until that explosive 8-run 6th inning for Kansas City. The Royals trailed Boston 4-2 until the 6th when they came out swinging. a bases clearing triple defeated the Sox and sunk them. It was pretty exciting to see a Sunday Night Baseball game.

I will be in attendance with my brother Charlie at tomorrows game when the Red Sox take on the Rays of Tampa Bay.
